How poignant. I love that Dean kept Sammy's first art project!
Your story reminds me of my little girl. She's going off to college now. Time certainly passes quickly when children grow up.

Good Lord, I'm weeping buckets. I have always thought it was a good idea for Sam to leave John, but a terrible idea for him to leave Dean - I guess one day we'll find out if they had any contact after Sam left. (although it doesn't seem so in the show) In the meantime, this was beautifully written, and truly stirred my emotions.Thanks!
