Wow, this one hits you right in the gut. I love your phrasing, this one in particular:

The knowledge is thick and it hurts in a strange way; like a tetanus shot, sharp but uncertain as to the centermost point of pain.

I'm looking forward to reading the one from Dean's POV.

Well, I gotta say I can't wait for Dean's story.  Very Very nice job, the pain of these two stories was just overwhelming and you really made me feel it.. I gotta give a shout out to Fredo for recommending them, she was right they were more than worth the read, I will be keeping my eye out of the the third... - Kel

Absolutely gripping! Guilt and parenthood go together - it's just tenfold when you're John Winchester.

OMG!

That was heartwrenching! "My resolution is to start lying to Sam"

*Is stunned*

Poor John, how are you supposed to be the perfect parent when lying is the right thing to do.  Very emotional little piece, looking forward to third view!

You didn't disappoint with the same raw emotion for the 2nd part of your trilogy.  John's pain for his children, Sam's physical and Dean's emotional, was exceptional.  Bravo!!

I liked how you told this one from John's perspective. I loved your word choice again.  The continuity that you kept from the previous New Year one shot and this one is impressive.  I look forward to reading Dean's perspective.

Now this is what I'm talking about...great job, and you've made me really keen to read Dean's take on this...I just love a vengeful Winchester!!

Just as good as the other.  Even though I knew the outcome I couldn't wait to find out how events happened for John.  Now I can't wait to find out how Dean feels during all of this.
