I love that. I love that, at that time, Sam thinks that about Dean. That he'd have done anything to save him.

This was awesome. Nice first person POV, too. Thanks for writing.

Wow, I didn't get a chance to read this when I validated you, because I knew from your first submission that it would stand without my nitpicking, LOL.  But now that I've taken the time, I'm so glad I did.

It rang so true for me, especially the part about the bubble of hysterical laughter rising in Sam's throat when Dean forgives him by saying he didn't know. 

Jared got some criticism for seeming almost giddy in that epi, and I recognized right away that it was hysterical laughter and entirely appropriate. Love when others pick up on the same observations.

Oh thank you! There's something about that scene when he's telling Dean what actually happened that just *gets* me. He's sorry, but he's also-- not.
