What, am I one of the only people reading this story?? Well, its their loss because its fantastic!

When Ben talked about Mary and Dean was calm and then not so calm that Sam had to rein him in....that was so emotional.

Really like your commentary on the unspoken rule of hunters and kids. Kinda reminds me of Anne Rice's vampire ethics. It would explain a lot. Wonder why no one ever thought of it before.

Thank you so much.  I got the idea of Dean getting mad about what Ben was saying about Mary from....what for it....Dr. Phil and we've used it on our kids.  "You will not talk about my wife/husband that way."  I've always liked the idea of reminding kids that their relationship with their parent is outside of the parents relationship with each other.

 I do think you are one of the only reading this story but that's okay.  I get it that not a lot of people liked The Kids Are Alright (at least the Ben part of it).  I thought it was great.

I LOVE this story! When Dean kept having to wait and kept having to explain himself even I was getting angry. The way Ben jumped into Deans arms after Dean lifted his chin.......wow, great details, I could really see it.

You know how sometimes you read something and its so good you forget you're actually reading rather than standing in the room watching? You did that!

Wow,I'm humbled.  Thank you.  I love this story alot and I love the character of Ben.  I would be so happy if they brought him back into the show but it'll probably never happen.

I read this story when you posted it on ff.net, but I don't think I ever reviewed. So thought I make that right now:) 

This is a great story, and love the beginning (I now the continuation too, and liked that as well:) I'm sucker for Dean and kids!

Author's Response: I'm a sucker for Dean and kids too which is why I had to write this story.  I know it get a little strange in the middle but once a story takes hold it's hard to stop it.  Thanks for the review and for the read on ff.net also.

The first thought I had after I read the last line of Chapter 2

"Wow"

I can't remember the last time I had to sit back, take a breath and collect myself after I finished reading a short story; and it's only the second chapter...amazing in so many ways...

Author's Response: That is very flattering.  I'm glad you're enjoyig the story.  It gets a lot darker before it gets better but with Supernatural how could it be any other way.
