Okay, so I'm officially intrigued! In the immortal words of Dean Winchester: Dude, what the hell!

What a creepy town, and that Silas guy...reminds me a little of the vamp from Salem's Lot...or possibly the shop owner from Needful Things. At any rate, I'm dying to know what his deal is.

As always, you write Dean's anguish so powerfully...it's like a kick in the gut every time. Liked the music selections in this one...Hair of the Dog is one of my faves!

Author's Response:

Love me some Hair of the Dog... hee. So happy to see you reading. You know your reviews just make my day.

The inspiration for Silas' was actually a combination of Salem's vampire and Snape. What can I say... you know me a bit too well. I just hope you don't get tired of reading these stories... *bites lip*

Glad you're enjoying. :)

This is fantastic.  It's so atmospheric and totally, totally creepy.

It reminds me of psycho, and Hitchcock movies generally.

I like your damaged Dean, he's just oozing hurt and pain and Danger!  He's like an exposion waiting to happen!

Can I have more please?  Bird x

Author's Response:

Oh, what a complement to have this remind you of Hitchock. Wow! I wrote this well before I'd ever tried a one-shot or had been invited to write for the VS, so I really didn't know how well I could tell a whole story in a limited amount of pages.

Hitchock was always able to pack a serious thrill into a tight space of storytelling. So, I thank you. :) I hope you like the rest.
