Kitten, this's a great one! I like how it begins with "Well what can I say, your Daddy has that effect on people" and then there are all memories before it ends "Yeah, I guess he does". "You remember the amount of times even Sam had looked ready to rip his head off, after they had had yet another one of their rows." It's sad but surely true. Dean must have hated all fights John and Sam had. This line was definitely my favourite: "You remember having good and bad days with him, but somehow he never had that effect on you" Wow. You are clever! (Haha, it kinda sounds like I can't believe that you're clever...)

Loved it staffy, this was John in all his gruff and straightalking glory... I always thought for a character who only appeared in a handful of episodes, it's amazing how much he's influenced the whole series, and so much fnfic... Great work!

You nailed it again! You sure have pegged John, always calling a spade a spade, telling it like it is. My fav line - "putting a kids shoulder back in its socket can be noisy sometimes" Yeah, felt that!! Almost sarcastic 'cept we know the truth in it. I can just see John's 'and your problem is???' face as he said this!! LOOVE Deans reflection "You remember having good and bad days with him, but somehow he never had that effect on you." And now that one comment has given him reason to look again through the eyes of others. Love the "Yeah, I guess he does" as showing that he gets it but isn't bothered by it. It is cos it is. Bobby's dialogue as the intro and Dean's reflection at the end make the whole piece cohesive, tie it all nicely together. A common thread in all this series - the fics consist of few words but the memories are significant. Once again an awesome idea beautifully written. ...and apology accepted, I'm not disappointed at all!! This one is worthy of the collection. Thanks heaps. All good things come to those who wait...
