That was really, really great! I will never hear Christmas Carols quite the same way again!

Author's Response: Thank you very much, Strigoi.  It's really, really good to hear that you liked this little tale.

Ahh, this was really good, I was laughing when Dean kept denying he was singing xmas carols and then moaning about Rudolphs freaky glowing nose. lol

This was lovely!

Schelz

Author's Response: Thank you so much, Schelz.  I had so much fun writing this one.  It's good to know you liked it.

Too funny, Nessa!  I love it!  Especially the poem at the end.  It was like a Rankin/Bass Christmas special---music and poetry.  Now all we need are those little, long-armed animated puppets.

Author's Response:

Thank you, Shannon!  It really did play out in my head like one of those Rankin/Bass Christmas specials.  I'm so glad that you were able to see that too.

hehehe  Can you imagine animated puppets of our boys?

Hi Vanessa,

This was a treat, some great brotherly banter and the bit of free verse at the end adding a little depth to the story. I enjoyed it!

Sue

Author's Response: Thank you, Sue.  I'm very glad to hear that you enjoyed this little holiday treat so much.

loved it the first time, Vanessa ...and swear even more the second go round.....so cute, so funny, so Sam, so Dean........thanks a heck of a bunch!!!!!!!!!

Author's Response: Thank you, dear.  I changed it up just a little since you saw the first go 'round.  I'm glad to know that it still worked and that you liked it!

Hermie.... Guess they are kind of in-de-pen-dent together -lol!  A lot of fun, thanks for the smile.

Author's Response: Thank you, danrac.  I'm glad you liked the "Hermie" reference.  I am also very glad you enjoyed this story and that I could bring a smile to your face.

Aww that really made me smile and brightened my day.  Loved the dialogue and the poem at the end. Yay for warm fuzzies!!

Author's Response: Thank you kindly, Vallana.  It's so good to know that you liked this little piece.

That was just the best! Loved the style of writing in dialogue, could hear Sam clearly and Dean in denial, so cute! Loved the way he fessed up!

Carols do worm their way in your head and stay there, you're so right! Worse when they get stuck in someone's elses head! From Zepplin to Wencelas!! Too funny!

And then a poem, an extra treat! Loooved your "black, sleek impala torpedoed" - divine! and yes, you did give us  two "safe, happy, silly brothers" Excellent work, you are on a roll!

Author's Response:

Thank you so much, Petra.  I enjoyed putting this one together.  Writing it was kind of like "watching" a Christmas special (like Rudolph or Frosty, etc.) with the narrator finishing up at the end with that poem and the Impala driving off into the snow with the boy's voices raised in song.  (Yeah, I'm weird.)

I'm really, really happy to know that you liked it.  :-)

Really loved this one. The poem at the end was icing on the cake.

Merrie

Author's Response: Thank you so much, Merrie.  When I started writing this story, I hadn't intended to do any kind of poem at the end, and yet my muse sent me in that direction.  I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Ness.  This is just the best. Honeyed Voices - Yummyumm that phrase is such a turn on?!

I can't hold a note to save my immortal soul but if I can ride shotgun with the boys I'll sing Jingle Bell Rock at the top of my voice for them!  Go on please write me in!  Bird x

Author's Response:

Thank you so much, Bev.  Yeah, there are certain voices that I definitely describe as honeyed.  Both our boys qualify.  hehehe  They have the type of voices where, if I were to be on the phone with them, I could just sit and listen to them talk for hours.  (I knew a guy like this once.  I treasured his phone calls for just this reason!)  In person, of course, would be even better.

I can't sing much either, but I'd ride shotgun with 'em and sing too.  hehe  (Though they'd not appreciate it. LOL)

I'm so glad you enjoyed this little Christmas treat.  :-)

Good one V, they do worm there way into your brain.  Thanks for a little Christmas cheer.  Crystal

Author's Response: Thank you, Crystal.  I'm really, really glad to hear you enjoyed this crazy little piece.  :-)

This was so much fun and such a laugh, and then...you finish on a poem, and a great one at that!

Is there no end to your talent?

Author's Response:

Ahhh, thank you, Louy!!  You really found it to be fun and enjoyable?  I was hoping people would, even though it's a bit silly.

This is what I had running through my head last night on the two-hour commute home from work (because of SNOW--it's normally a 20 minute bus trip).  At least this kept me entertained anyway.  hehe

Reviewer: lostatc (Signed) · Date: 04/12/07 11:29 AM · On: Christmas Bells Are Ringing

That was great.  Made me smile enough that my co-workers asked me what I was smiling about.  Thanks for the smile!

Author's Response:

Thank you very much!  Much like a Christmas carol, I got it stuck in my head and knew I just had to do something with it.  I'm very glad you found it enjoyable and that it made you smile.
