You are a very talented writer! I loved this story. It was an excellent read. It was good to see that it was not a werewolf in the end! Lucky Sam!(lol) I also started reading your novel. It sounds fantastic! I hope it gets published!

Very good. I thought werewolf-Sam would be an interesting psychological experiment to pull on Dean. I would have liked to know more about the creature, but I'm glad it's all sunshine and puppy dogs in the end.
Author's Response: Thank you so much. I was hoping for a more gentle end, thinking it was something of a Thanksgiving. I plan to bring the creature back for another story, the demon I based it on is so prevalent in Old European Lore I thought it would make a good sequel.

really nice little story here, MM.........fresh cream over pie.....that sounds like soup or something.....is that really a custom someplace?? think I'll stick to whipped cream or ice cream... Very inventive story though...thanks a whole bunch...!!!!!!
Author's Response: Thank you so much! Fresh cream over pie is fabulous. My grandmother always made it that way, maybe it's a New Mexico custom or maybe a hold over from the days that she had to whip it by hand!

Great one shot! You had me worried for a moment with that plot. So glad everything turned out well. I really enjoyed the brother love you once again described in a wonderful way. Sam's desperate plea for Dean to kill him was heart wrenching. Looking forward to your next story, thanks :)

What a great one shot this was! Subtle and descriptive and very well written. Like the way you had us all fooled with the plot, and poor Dean's relief was palpable. Great work!

That was just beautiful. Emotion and tension from the minute we stepped into that house. I thought that was gonna end badly and I could hardly breath as you continued to build the intensity. "That Sammy look" *priceless* We all know the look you are talking about but you explored it so our hearts melted -"Sam smiled, looking at Dean with that look, the all-knowing-Sam look, the look that Dean knew saw right through everything, right through every façade, every smart remark and could see right into his heart at times" and then that incredible moment where you allowed Dean to reciprocate because he needed that connection, that understanding -"Dean looked at Sam and for a minute let his guard down, and let his brother see him, without pretence, without any defence, just for a minute, but he let it happen. Dean looked into his brother’s eyes and Sam was open, unguarded, too. Words not needed. Just for a moment, but it was enough." You blew me away with tha stunning piece of writing.*standing ovation* Your moment of peace for Dean was breathtaking - "letting the fear drain out of him for a moment, letting everything go, future, past, all of it." Wow, Striking contrast to the evening I thought he'd be having. It felt peaceful and calm. Awesome little ficlet, you made my day!!

So, I actually get to type the first review! This is a very nice this piece - angst and heartstrings, but not over the top, which I particularly appreciate as it keeps the boys more in character. Bite not withstanding, Dean got the harder part of this one.
